Our two campuses in Bromley and Orpington are easily accessible by bus, train, car or bicycle.

Bromley Campus

By Bus: The campus is only a few minutes’ walk from the bus stops by the Crown pub and roundabout. There are frequent buses towards Bromley town centre and Orpington. From Bromley South: 61, 208, 261, 320, 358, 402. From Orpington: 61, 208, 358. For further information and to find bus maps in your area, please click here.

By Train: Bromley South is the nearest train station, just over a mile away. Buses from outside the station take you to the College – alight at the bus stop just before The Crown pub and roudabout and the Rookery Lane Campus is straight ahead on the right. For train timetables and up to date service changes – National Rail.

By Car: Visitors and disabled parking is available in front of our main reception area. Spaces are limited and need to be reserved by a member of staff on behalf of visitors.

There is permit parking available for students, however priority is given to those living more than 20 miles from Bromley College (Please note: this does not guarantee a space). Forms are available from the Premises office and must be approved by your Head of School. You will need to provide your current driving licence and proof of insurance. If you have mobility difficulties we can arrange an accessible parking space for you. Please make sure to register your motorbike with us. Spaces are subject to availability.

Students arriving at College after 4pm can park on site subject to availability. There is unrestricted street parking in the surrounding roads, and also spaces are available in Norman Park (Hook Farm Lane) until dusk each day (entrance off the A21).

By Bicycle: A network of signed cycle routes lead around Bromley Town Centre and up to the College on Rookery Lane. Cycle parking can be found at the front of the College. Please ask at our Reception Desk for further details. For more information on cycling in London, please click here.

Bromley Campus Opening times:

  • 8.00 am – 9.30pm Monday – Wednesday
  • 8.00 am – 7.00 pm Thursday
  • 8.00 am – 5.00 pm Friday

Orpington Campus

By Bus: Orpington High Street is served by a number of bus services to destinations including Bromley, Catford, Lewisham, Sidcup and Bexleyheath. Nearest bus stops to the College are The Walnuts Centre on Orpington High Street and also Homefield Rise. For further information and to find bus maps in your area, please click here.

By Train: Orpington Station is a 15 minute walk away from our Orpington Campus. High frequency services operate to London Victoria, London Bridge, Waterloo East and Charing Cross from this station.

Other key London stations can also be accessed including Lewisham, Catford and Bromley South. Services from Kent also stop at Orpington including Sevenoaks and Tunbridge Wells. St Mary Cray rail station is a 45 minute walk or a 10 minute bus journey away. This station provides access to services from London to the Kent Coast including Rochester, Chatham, Ramsgate and Dover. Thameslink services to Farringdon, Kings Cross and Bedford are also accessed at this station. For train timetables and up to date service changes – National Rail.

By Car: Free car parking around Orpington Campus is very limited. Where possible students, staff and visitors are encouraged to car share.

By Bicycle: A network of signed cycle routes lead around the outskirts of Orpington Town Centre. Knoll Rise is signed as a recommended cycle route but have no road markings. Spur Road is also a recommended route and is signed with on-road markings for cyclists. Cycle parking can be found at the rear of the College. Please ask at our Reception Desk for further details.
