University of Greenwich

The University of Greenwich| traces its roots back to 1890.  It has three campuses, and offers an enormous range of courses across its twelve schools.  We work in partnership with six of those twelve schools; Architecture & Construction, Business, Engineering, Education & Training, Health & Social Care and their Medway School of Science.  Bromley College is proud to be one of their biggest partner colleges.

Foundation Degrees

Our Foundation Degree courses are offered in partnership with the University of Greenwich, and are employment related.   They combine study with work-based learning and practical work experience and are equivalent to the first two years of an honours degree or an HND (Higher National Diploma).   They are popular with employers because they focus on specialist knowledge in the workplace, therefore adding real value - but also popular with students because they are able to study with people who are working in the same sector, which provides invaluable opportunities for learning and networking.

What are the distinctive features of Foundation Degrees?
  • Designed in conjunction with employers and sector skills councils
  • Mix of work based, specialist skills and academic learning
  • Build on individuals’ previous experience
  • Focus on key economic sectors
  • Flexible study – you can study some courses at College, in the workplace, at home, at university or online
  • Arrangements for guaranteed progression to an Honours Degree
